Characteristics:
Unfermented
and grown in Lion Peak Mountain in the Hang Zhou area of
Zhejiang province. This Early Spring Dragon Well is known to be one of
the finest tea in China and the best quality Dragon Well from the West Lake
region. It is only harvested once a year in early spring (before the rain season
starts). Most of the leaf processing are still done by hand
to ensure the leaves are intact. It delivers a gentle,
dedicate chestnutty flavor and a lasting floral aftertaste.
Brewing hints: Boil water and let it cool to about
180F.
Place about 2 teaspoons of Dragon Well into a 8 oz glass. Pour in the water and
let it steep for 2-3 minutes. While waiting, observe
how the tea leaves expand and then slowing dance to the
bottom of the glass.
